PAKISTAN'S 9/11

One attack on USA secured the citizen of United States from terror attacks. What they did after 9/11 is another debate. There strategy and counter terror approach can be criticized. There invasion in Afghanistan can be questioned.US attack on Iraq can be proved unjustified but this is proven fact that not a single terrorist succeeded to make his terror plot successful. Why? A big why? Because USA Laid a counter terror strategy and started implement that, they did not bother whether they had to invade Afghanistan or shatter Iraq or renowned personalities of the word to keep staying on their airport for hours. They did not discriminate Shah Rukh khan and Salman khan or Shaikh Rashid, everybody had to stay at air port and get cleared.

 On other hand Pakistan the front line ally of USA in war against terror does not have counter terror strategy. Nobody is clear how to get rid of this menace of terror. Government like whole nation is confused over dialogue and operation against terrorist. And after 5 deadliest and guerrilla attacks on key security installations. As a Pakistani we are still under siege, living in fear and terrorists are not confined to Waziristan only where we are planning operation to eliminate them, they are living in our streets, Lahore, Karachi and Islamabad. Fresh attack on Karachi air port is an example of this. This attack come short after ending cease fire by TTP and finishing peace dialogue with extremists. Karachi Air port attack seems power show by TTP right after 2 years of PAF base Minhas attack in Kamra on 16th August 2012 only 2 days after of independence day and on the eve of Shabe Qadar 27^th of Ramazan ul Mubarak

 Naara-e takbeer after 13 hours long attack in Karachi Air port seem meaningless. Terrorist planed their plane well and executed even more effectively. Is there being any question for that gate keeper who opened the gate for terrorist instead the crew of Shaheen Airline just looking the uniform look like that? To counter that security forces must think and plane according to terrorist’s mind.

Planned guerrilla gun battle attacks started by terrorist in March 2009 when an early morning dozens of militants having hand grenades and guns attack on police training center in Mananwan Lahore. Commandos of Military and police elite force too almost 7 hours to through them out while killing few of them, the only measure took after that attack all police centers security walls get high and security made alert for few days and routine starts after that.

 Right after 7 month terrorist surprised everybody by attacking the heart of Pakistan Military the GHQ in Rawalpindi on Oct 10, 2009. This standoff remains for almost 8 hours to evacuate workers of GHQ made hostage by attackers. GHQ saga happened and nothing was changed in security policy. Only swat operation was done where leader of TTP swat Mullah Fazal ullah escaped to Afghanistan and returned back in 2013 and now became head of TTP.

Terrorist did not stop themselves here after 2 years in the night of hot 22^nd of may 2011 they chose Naval base of Karachi their next target and attacked on PNS Mehran base in Karachi and a night long standoff run. Terrorist occupied latest spy planes named P-3 Orion and brunet them to ashes and be exploded in the base. That was a big blow to our defense capabilities and as usual security forces kept nation in dark by announcing not damage is done and all installations are safe and all insurgents have been killed. No lessons and this incident remain in memories of martyred families and off course in history.

Unfortunately terrorists learned and assessed the capacity of our security agencies, they planned again and this time third force the air power of Pakistan PAF was the target. Terrorist chosen the key installation Pakistan aeronautical Complex (PAC) in Kamra where F-6 F-7, Merag and now JF-17 fighter plane rebuilt, Terrorist interred in the compound on 16th August 2012 breaching all security measures when Pakistani were busy praising ALLAH on the night of 27^th Ramzan in the month of fasting. Terrorist did for what they came. They set saab plane that used to refilling fuel in the air on fire.

All three forces of Pakistan Army, Navy and PAF attacked on different occasions and now Karachi airport that took 13 hours to be cleared from attackers claiming 20 lives. The question is what next? Is there any question of confusion remain? I think no we as a nation must act now. Our Government our military establishment and all players must decide now what to do with that menace of terrorism. Talk or fight what bring peace in our country must exercise now. And I think this matter in the need of the hour alliance and movement to oust government may be run after that if this situation continues in the country Imran Khan may not get a chance to even contest the election and a terrorist Inqalab may come before Qadri Inqlab.
